All the Light we Cannot See by Anthony Doerr is a great book for students to learn more about WW#2 and all of the struggles people have to survive. It is even more challenging for one who is blind. 

This novel helps us to learn about resilience, free will and the importance of human connection.

Our next movie was The Imitation Game. This was a challenging movie to look at the concept of heroes and how people are treated despite their contributions to society. Set in WW#2 it was a powerful movie to study for our move through modern history.
