21st Century Homeschooling Newsletter Article

There is so much focus right now on 21st Century Learning: A focus on technology, collaboration and student-driven learning. As home educators, what are we to have in our “tool box” to help our students succeed in this new online environment as we guide our student’s curriculum, educational choices and success?
First I have some questions you may want to wrestle with...  What are your goals?  What are your student’s goals? What do they want to learn? What do you want them to learn? What is our purpose in having them learn certain skills? How do we see them using those skills in the future?
As home educators, what are we to have in our “tool box” to help our students?
How can you arrange these goals into a workable format with websites, programs, applications, books, ebooks, subscriptions, videos, co-ops, clubs, community service projects and curriculum? Are we using a variety of resources to help our students reach their goals?  Read More
